15th Annual Grand Day a Great Success!
Sold out performance leads to fantastic fun!
Thanks to everyone who was able to join us at our 15th Annual Grand Day celebration; it was a great success!
This year's Grand Day has raised over $24,000 in support of NCT. This money helps to ensure that 60,000 students each year are able to take a field trip to Nashville Children's Theatre, where they can laugh, learn, and experience worlds outside of their every day through professional theatre performances.
Beginning with a sold-out performance of Lyle the Crocodile, guests walked out of the theatre into a magical carnival-land, complete with balloon animals, jugglers, facepainters, bouncehouses, and a duck named Ritz Quackers! Stars from the show joined the audience in a lively dance party and posed for photos. Jonbalaya served stuffed pork, and jelly bean caviar, and Pied Piper Creamery's pistachio ice cream topped it off.
Our Grand Day Kings were crowned, winning a family vacation for four to Orlando, including Disney Park-Hopper passes. Runners-up won a golf trip to Kentucky Dam State Park and a Nashville Sounds game.
Some of our favorite local artists have donated their designs on exclusive Crocodile Egg-Art, available to the highest bidders in an online auction running now through May 11. The Egg-Art will be on display at the theatre throughout the performance of Lyle. Click here to see all of the Egg-Art and make a bid. Artists include Lisa Ernst, Mary Gauthier, Emily Little, Kathy Mattea, Lisa McReynolds, Amanda Norman, Ginger Oglesby, Adrienne Outlaw, Paricia Taber, and Ron York.
And finally, we have lots of thanks to pass around, to our sponsors, an army of volunteers, our patrons and our supports who continue to make great theatre possible for the children and families of Nashville.
Stay tuned for Quest in the fall, and we can't wait to see you at the next Grand Day!
Here's a great chance to learn how the show comes together. For one performance per production you can stay after for a Q & A with the cast and crew!

We'd like to introduce our grown up fans to Nashville's favorite sisters - two southern darlings who are charming broads and faithful friends of NCT.
Make reservations to ride around downtown wth the Jugg Sisters in their big pink bus. This duo is more than dynamic, they are dynamite - so you'll want to hold on to your cowboy hat!
Sheri Lynn and Brenda Kay will share with you the secrets of many of your favorite county stars, and you might even see some celebs during your trip!
This is a bus ride for adults so leave the kids at home. We promise that they'll have you laughing til you're sore (or possibly regretting your decision). These working girls will see to that!
