Fall Break for Williamson and Davidson Counties. Only NINE spots available in Mini Theatre Voyagers this week, register now to ensure a spot for your young one!
You might think your 4 or 5 year-old makes enough of their own drama, but in Mini Theatre Voyagers they’ll use their creative energy for good. This class allows students the opportunity to play with their favorite stories and picture books through theatre, individual crafts, music, and dance. Growing artistically and socially in a supportive environment, campers are encouraged to let their imaginations go wild and harness their creativity to collaborate with others.
All classes in the Voyagers series are designed to be repeated, with students exploring and experiencing new stories, exercises, and activities each camp.
At this age-level, our focus is more on the process of creative play, exploration, and expression and unlike other Voyagers series classes, there will not be a rehearsed presentation at the end of the week. However, Mini Theatre Voyagers’ classes will present a sharing of favorite games, exercises, and activities in their classroom with families at the end of the week.
Mini Theatre Voyagers students learn how to:
• Use loud, clear voices
• Move through the space as different characters
• Identify beginning stage directions and theatre vocabulary
• Create group-based imaginative play
• Start creative thinking towards storytelling
• Communicate their feelings or feelings of characters
• Express their creative thoughts physically and verbally
• Wait their turn to express those creative thoughts
• Have an absolute blast
NCT’s focus is always the healthy development of young people. We believe that the skills that students learn in the process of creative play will serve them in their everyday lives as well as provide a foundation if they choose to continue to more theatre work (which we hope they do!).

A class Social Story can be found below to help navigate our classes. A Social Story is a tool to help improve a child’s understanding of expectations during an unfamiliar event and were originally designed to support neurodivergent students. However, this can be a useful tool for any student who is unsure about what to expect from a new experience. We share these resources to make NCT classes inclusive for ALL students.
We invite you to learn more about all of our accessibility and inclusion practices as well as our departmental teaching philosophy.
