Find quality theatre experiences for all ages and skill levels
Give your students a memorable theatre experience, a fun field trip, and important life lessons all in one day.
Did you know NCT is the oldest children’s theatre in the country? We’ve been bringing professional theatre to young audiences for nearly a century, and we’ve collected some great stories along the way.
For 90 years and counting, we’ve helped audiences of all ages build empathy, think critically, and connect to the world through performances, classes, and community programs.
Donate today and set the stage for the next 90 years.
After you’ve completed step 1 above by filling out the field trip request form, here’s what’s next:
When your field trip is officially booked* you and your bookkeeper will receive a confirmation email from NCT.
*The field trip is not officially booked until you receive a confirmation. The confirmation will have the date, time, and estimated total for the field trip. Attached to the confirmation are the NCT Official Payment Plan Form and the Field Trip Guide which detail our policies and procedures. Once confirmed you will be responsible for payment. Any cancellations or adjustments ( head count) must be made in writing no less than 30 days before the date of your field trip.
30 days prior to your field trip you must submit your final headcount and payment or payment plan form for your field trip. If your school cannot submit payment 30 days in advance you must establish a payment plan in writing with Nashville Children’s Theatre prior to this 30 days deadline.
ALL CANCELLATIONS MUST OCCUR BEFORE THE 30 DAY DEADLINE AND THEY MUST BE SUBMITTED IN
WRITING. FAILURE TO CANCEL OR MODIFY FIELD TRIP PRIOR DAYS WILL RESULT IN A CANCELLATION FEE, (50% OF TOTAL COST).
Curriculum Guides have helpful activities and information for your class to prepare for the show. Current Curriculum Guides are available here.

We encourage you to attend our workshop and preview performance on opening night of the show you booked. These workshops are from 5:00-7:30pm. The workshop is one hour long and includes a reception and two free tickets to the opening night performance. This event also counts for professional development credit.
We are so delighted you are here. Please refer to theatre expectations and etiquette guide. Enjoy the show!
A Social Story is a tool to help improve a child’s understanding of expectations during an unfamiliar event. They were originally designed to support neurodivergent individuals. However, this can be a useful tool for any person who is unsure about what to expect from a new experience.
