NCT Education Supported Tuition

Every Child Deserves a Place to Belong.

 
At Nashville Children’s Theatre, we believe that every child deserves the opportunity to experience the joy, confidence, and connection that theatre can provide. Financial circumstances should never be a barrier to creativity, growth, or belonging.
That’s why we created NEST (NCT Education Supported Tuition)—our tuition assistance program that helps make NCT Education programs accessible to more children and families throughout our community.
Just as a nest provides support, safety, and the opportunity to grow, NEST helps young artists take flight by providing tuition assistance for eligible NCT Education programs.

Our Commitment

Nashville Children’s Theatre sparks creativity and empathy through professional theatre and education opportunities for all children and families. NCT Education extends that mission beyond the stage by creating meaningful theatre experiences that help children discover confidence, communication, collaboration, and compassion. Through NEST, we are committed to ensuring that financial circumstances do not prevent children from participating in the life-changing experiences theatre provides.

What NEST Supports

 NEST provides supported tuition for eligible NCT Education programs, including:
  • Drama Explorations Camps
  • Drama Explorations Classes
  • Drama School Programs

Support is awarded based on household need and available funding.

Who Should Apply?
NEST is designed for families who would benefit from financial assistance in order for their child to participate in NCT Education programming.  We encourage you to apply if tuition would otherwise prevent your child from participating.   Applying for NEST is confidential, and every application is reviewed with care and respect.

Financial Assistance FAQs

No additional documentation will be needed.  Please make sure you complete the google form and if you have any questions you can reach out to Maddie. ( email below) 

Scholarships are offered to families on a sliding scale based on financial need. We use United for Alice income guidelines to assign levels of assistance. Scholarships are awarded at levels of 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%. Once applications are received and reviewed, an NCT Education member will reach out to confirm your scholarship level.

Families need to apply for ticket and camp/class scholarships every semester: Fall, Spring, and Summer. Within each semester, the NCT Education accepts scholarship applications on a rolling basis and tries to assign in order of receipt. Thus, as soon as applications open, we recommend you apply.

We offer scholarships for ALL of our camps and classes! Spots are limited so we recommend applying as soon as applications open. 

Applications open at the beginning of each semester (Fall, Spring, and Summer) and are awarded on a rolling basis. Ticket scholarships are available at all times. For camp and class scholarships, spots fill up quickly. Thus, we recommend you apply as soon as applications open for that semester. 

Absolutely! All classes are eligible for payment plans that meet the needs of your family. Payment in full is required two weeks prior to the start date of your child’s camp or class.
